The White Veil / Canvas Print

The White Veil is a luminous and emotionally rich portrait that honors the traditions of Día de los Muertos. The subject’s face is adorned with intricate skull-inspired makeup: a vivid red heart framed by green leaves and dots graces the forehead, while deep blue eye sockets are bordered with scalloped red accents. A blue nose and crimson lips with skeletal detailing evoke themes of remembrance and transformation. Black ornamental flourishes decorate the cheeks and chin, adding depth and rhythm. The sheer white lace veil softens the composition, casting a gentle contrast against the vibrant face paint. This piece blends cultural symbolism with expressive realism, inviting viewers into a space of reverence and celebration.
